About
The Story
"My love of storytelling started not long after I came into this world. Poetry evolved to short stories. A Young Adult novel sits in my writing basket begging to be finished. Writing children’s books held my attention for a few years. But when I started a crime novel, and kept hitting road blocks, it was then that I realized my stories scream to be on the big screen.
I have always been a huge movie buff. I remember walking out of the theatre after seeing “SEVEN” and thinking, why can’t I write like that? Finally the answer came… Why not write like that? It wasn’t until several years later that my passion for screenwriting grabbed hold of my soul. Now there is no shaking it. I am a writer. And I believe that is always what I needed to be.
People often ask me where my ideas come from. Well, I started writing about my dreams, my nightmares, my thoughts and my curious wonderings about the world. I have a very vivid imagination and I nurture that with all the junk and classics and “G” to ”R” rated movies I can get my eyes on. I also read a lot! Each time a story idea percolates in me, I ask the potential characters “What if?”, and if they answer, I run with it.
I created Laura Adrienne’s web page with the intent of creating a writer’s exchange of sorts. To give others a taste of what goes on in my mind and see what goes on in theirs as well.
Take some time to explore my site, read something interesting, and feel free to reach out. I would love to hear from you.”
